Detlef Bensmann, Saxophone / Itay Dvori, Piano 

Detlef Bensmann and Itay Dvori have been collaborating for several years now. However, they have only been playing as a saxophone-piano duo since 2016. ID not only stands for the initials of their forenames, but is also an abbreviation for a concept that is of deep interest to them and represents a central theme in their programmes: identity. As well as interpreting classical and contemporary works of music literature, the two virtuosos – who are also composers and conductors – devote a significant proportion of their collaborative work to their shared passion for improvisation.
